For Special Needs cases, the Humane Society of Flower Mound has established the Mercy Fund, which helps assist with costs associated with surgery or other serious medical conditions.

Julie, like so many other dogs rescued from the hurricane, had heartworm disease, which is expensive to treat. Julie also has some arthritis in her back, which required x-rays and medicine to diagnose and treat.

Willow came to us badly starved. As a result of her terrible neglect, she has irritable bowel disease that required extensive testing to diagnose and special food and medicine to treat. However, she is improving slowly and putting on weight each week!
