Factors in an animal's life that can affect behavior include:

  • Lack of or change in socialization, including being outdoors all the time or being chained or fenced in
  • Medical problems or onset of illness
  • Stressor introduced to environment

Please consider working with a behaviorist and/or your veterinarian before giving up a pet.  An animal should be part of your family, and all family members need some help from time to time!
